International custodian of African cultures, peace ambassador and Erelu-Oodua of Aye Kingdom, Erelu Tinuade Mabel Onaneye has cried out against senseless discrimination all over the world which has resulted in the unending killings across the globe.
She made the call at her base in Texas, United States on the morning of Tuesday 17th of May 2022 through her media aide, Saint-Olawale Jimoh, following the killing of 10 black people last Saturday at a Supermarket in Buffalo, New York, an incident she described as ‘a racist hate crime’, the lynching of Deborah Samuel in Sheu Shagari College of Education in Wamako, Sokoto-Nigeria for alleged blasphemy and several crimes around the globe.
‘These killings are motivated and fuelled by discrimination- racial, religious, political and even class discrimination. White people don’t want black folks, religious extremists don’t want other faith, rich hate the poor, ruling class don’t like commoners and Nigerian northerners hate Southerners.’ Erelu lamented.
‘What’s the world turning to? Where are we heading with these sentiments? Will the world survive with these unholy practices? Even America thought to be the role model to the whole world can no longer hold forth. Where is the peace they preach?’ She queried.
Erelu posited no faith support the killings of fellow humans and nowhere in any of the holy books where God instructed anyone to fight for him.
In conclusion, Erelu Tinuade enjoins all leaders across the globe to preach peace to their subjects, followers, parties, tribes, clans and class, so we can all move forward.
